Families of the victims of the Parkland massacre are expected to continue visiting the site of the shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School, Tuesday.The tours of the 1200 building, where the devastating shooting took place over five years ago, aim to provide the families with a sense of closure following the respective trials of the perpetrator and former school resource officer.With all evidence from that day carefully preserved, the families are granted the opportunity to take home items that once belonged to their loved ones. Once the visitation period concludes, discussions will be made to determine a date for the demolition of the building.

Atlanta (CNN) — The Georgia grand jury that is expected to consider charges against former President Donald Trump and his Republican allies for trying to overturn the 2020 election will be selected Tuesday in Atlanta.Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis, an elected Democrat, launched the investigation in early 2021, after Trump tried to overturn his defeat in the Peach State with a public and private pressure campaign targeting Georgia election officials, the governor, lawmakers and prosecutors.A special grand jury previously heard testimony from 75 witnesses, including Trump advisers, his former attorneys, White House aides, and Georgia officials. That panel issued a redacted report with charging recommendations, which will soon be weighed by the new grand jury. (AP) — A storm that left up to two months’ worth of rain in Vermont and saturated other parts of the Northeast was moving out Tuesday, but more flooding was expected after already cutting off access to some communities, including the main approach to the state capital.There have been no reports of injuries or deaths related to the Vermont flooding, according to emergency officials. But dozens of roads were closed, including many along the spine of the Green Mountains. The soaking rains that prompted a few flood warnings across our area yesterday are now behind us, yielding to sunshine and warmer air again. While flooding around here was relatively minor, flooding across western New England, especially across Vermont, has been serious. In fact, many rivers and streams across Vermont are experiencing major flooding, including around Montpelier. Those rivers will crest of the next day of so. Across western Mass, the CT River will crest in moderate flood stage. As we dry out today, we will warm up too as high run in the mid to upper 80s under a mix of sun and clouds. Tomorrow, we’ll step it up another notch with highs in the lower 90s. Boston’s first 90 degree reading? It’s possible tomorrow if no sea breeze kicks in. It’ll be close.
